BROT is a publication that explores the unseen aspects of contemporary creative practice in Mallorca. Through visits to artists’ studios and workshops, the project gathers fragments of processes, inspiration, experimentation, mistakes and production, documenting the conversations and rituals that exist beyond the finished work. The publication reveals the “B-side” of creative practice, bringing to light the doubts and decisions that shape what is ultimately seen.

Photography, editorial writing and graphic design come together to translate these narratives into print, using paper as a medium for collecting, framing and sharing documentation. BROT was created as part of the exhibition 'OpenLab II: Exploring Systems’ curated by Chiara Ferrari (110 Mallorca).

The design approach is intentionally experimental: each spread is developed in direct response to its corresponding story, rather than following an established layout. Each artist or contribution is treated as its own conceptual system, and this individuality is reflected in the visual structure of the publication.
